Allergies strike again!

Gareth often jokes that I should stop falling apart. I hope you forgive my lack of blogging for the last few days but I am suffering a little because of my UC, I feel like I could sleep for a week, and so I decided to relax on the sofa and catch up on The Glee Project and Tia and Tamera (love those shows!) and try out my Red Leaf bath goodies which arrived! I was so excited! They are gorgeous!

I also had a tickle in my throat for the last month keeping me up at night and so I’ve not slept through the night until Thursday night. It seems my wonderful allergies (my perennial rhinitis) struck again and I’m back on the steroids, but in nasal spray form to get to the back of my throat to help with the irritation. I feel exhausted and my illnesses are starting to bring me down right now. My nan cheered me up with an old photo of myself from 1983. I wasn’t nicknamed punk rocker for nothing. I adore old photos!
Me as a baby

I sadly don’t get to have a nice weekend this weekend though, however I will not get into that, it’s purely for my hospital appointment and it includes fasting and lots of icky medicine and I shall say no more. I am however looking forward to Monday afternoon next week where I will get to sleep and have a perfect excuse for lazing on the sofa with my husband taking care of me as I shall have been sedated, and will not remember much and will be forbidden from everything that requires brain power and concentration from driving to cooking.

Did I mention I cannot wait for my holiday? I am looking forward to having a bit of fun and forgetting the stresses of home! It’s coming around fast and I am so excited! But still so much stuff to do!

Family BBQ

I had a fantastic weekend 🙂 Well, apart from spending 3 and a half hours waiting for Gareth’s car to get fixed LOL. We visited my nan where it was just my parents and my brother’s family, before we headed off to Cardiff to celebrate our anniversary, hanging out with my youngest Brother in Law.

Sunday was super fun! Besides the glorious weather we’d had for days Gareth and myself went to Matalan with the last of the gas/electric money that we had leftover once the central heating was switched off and the evenings got lighter 😉 and after we had some food from a burger place on Saturday 🙂 so I got a couple of new outfits which was MUCH needed! Then it was to my brother’s house for a BBQ 😀

Elijah & Aunty Kirsty

It was nice to grab the SLR. I got some quality Oliver & Elijah time, and as we played with the little swimming froggy in Oliver’s sand & water pit it was suggested that while the weather was gorgeous we should head to my sister in law’s aunt’s house to swim in her pool if no one else was using it. Lucky us, we could go, and I sat on a float in the pool along with Oliver as we paddled around, and then I got to walk around the shallow area holding on to Elijah. Stewart suggested we could make it a weekly thing on a Sunday morning, so I can’t wait! Though I seriously learned my lesson as my beloved Hanson symbol ring and wedding ring got severely tarnished so I won’t be wearing them in the pool again. Thankfully my parents fix everything and I took my jewellery to them and my dad sorted it. Dad for the win!

Now I’m magically posting this entry as I’m leaving work, but I thought I’d need to post something simply because and I wouldn’t be online.

I have tons of minibooks etc that I have not shared with anyone and there’s a Circle Journal I participated in, goodness – 3 years ago? I simply ADORE it. The thing that made me think of it was a listing by celestefrittata at Etsy. It’s in this picture here – it’s the spells and charms one. Are they not so *fantastic*? So perfectly made and aged. I was seriously drooling over them, and if the spells and charms one was listed I might just very well have bought it.

Now, I love my book (but I suppose I’m biased, as I pretty much made and decorated it) and I don’t think I have ever posted it other than at UKScrappers for my “Coven of Crafties” to look at their handy work. For those not familiar with a Circle Journal – a group of people make a journal and pass it round to the next person and they do something on it and then pass it on to the next person as they receive another book. In the end you get your journal back and full of goodness. Sadly these pictures just do not do this book justice. It needs to be in your hands to fully appreciate it.

And another one: (LOVE this one. I love the agedness of it lol. It opens to reveal some spells when you untie the ribbon. Awesome)

It was great fun. I can’t remember what the theme was exactly but I got to work on pages ranging from Wicca (which was interesting as for your pages you obviously need to do your research), aromatherapy, healing crystals and what not. I really did enjoy it and I learnt so much from doing it.
