I have been stepping up my craft game – and by stepping up I mean actually doing some LOL. The other night after Dylan had gone to bed, I stayed up (too late!) to make some dividers for an A5 Love Doki planner I got. I have been thinking of what to do for next year as this year I have been using a happy planner and that cannot be refilled… The original plan was to do a bullet journal, and I figured that when life gets a bit too hectic a bujo may not be used to its full potential – so my personal sized Love Doki got some new WH Smiths inserts as a back up. Just in case. Some people might wonder what on earth I could possibly put in a planner seeing as I’m just a stay at home mum in the week and at the weekend I just work in a shop… But I essentially have a household to run, and a work rota to keep on top of, and believe me – if I have a bad week and I don’t fill anything in, then both myself and Dylan can stay in our jammies for a couple of days at home (in my defence, I was also not feeling too good).

I was so pleased with how my dividers came out, some ladies in a planner group I belong to asked where I was selling them lol!

Dylan also decided that he wanted to be Catboy from PJ Masks. He’s absolutely Mario mad at the moment, and often tells me that he’s Mario and I’m Princess Peach and then we continue what we are doing but I have to refer to him as Mario 🙂 But for a few days I was Night Ninja (with lots of sticky splats!) and he asked if we could make a catboy mask for him and he wanted me to have an Owlette one too, so I picked up enough foam for all 3 PJ Masks just in case he wanted to be Gecko instead – the joys of toddlers!

I ran out of hot glue sticks so only Catboy has been completed, but he loves it, even if he has picked at it and broken it a bit so it needs to be fixed! (Again, joy of toddlers lol!)

We decided to have a fairly quiet day, I was feeling less than great, so we had a PJ day. We built a fort and cuddled up with blankets and cushions in there (my legs were outside the side hole because I couldn’t fit in completely) we watched some telly, we read books, we cuddled up and played his DS. Later on that day I remembered I still hadn’t seen the Justin Timberlake concert on Netflix so we put it on and danced (I wasn’t particularly concerned about bad words during songs) took a short break for bath time and cuddled up on the sofa to finish it off. It was one of my favourite days – one that I know I will look back on and remember fondly 🙂

It seems to be getting colder, our heating was put on the other week, and something my mum used to do for us when we were little was to get 2 Cadbury mini rolls in a bowl and cover them in custard… YUMMY! The custard would melt the chocolate and was a lovely warming treat. We had no mini rolls – not even the Tesco ones we buy – but I did have some tesco cake bars and they did the trick nicely 😉 I have got to make some chocolate crumble/chocolate concrete sometime soon, but today after I got home from work and cooked our tea, both me and Dylan made M&M cookies. ^_^

Feeling tired. A Hanson Christmas streaming that started at 12.20am might have had a little to do with it, but it had to be done. The last one was a few years ago, so I certainly didn’t want to miss it, though I did turn it off at 1am to go to bed so missed the rest.

Attending an interview tomorrow… Eeeeek! Wish me luck

Watching Million Dollar Listing NYC. It’s on Tuesday to Friday, and I have only 3 episodes left. At least I still have 13 more episodes of Melissa & Joey left which is on Monday to Thursday!

Loving planners. Pins on Pinterest, Pictures on Instagram, Facebook group… I was given a tip on some Filofaxes going for silly prices in Homesense and I picked up the only one I liked the look of which was a Purple compact Saffiano. But I have heard about Dokibooks and would quite like one of them as they are super cheap 🙂

Perusing the Ella’s Kitchen baking book. Thinking of asking santa for the Cooking Book for Dylan this Christmas. He’s so much better with his food, it is quite a comfort. On Friday I sat down on the floor next to him and we both ate pasta bolognese that I cooked for us. He loved it 🙂

Listening to this year’s new Hanson Christmas song: “Finally It’s Christmas”. Love it!

Thinking that I am looking forward to Christmas, and that if I do get this job then things will be more stable. The uncertainty of knowing things would have to change at some point and not being able to settle into some sort of routine until that moment were the things that were getting me down most.

Watching (kiddy shows) Jake & The Neverland Pirates, Curious George, (mummy shows) Tia & Tamera, The 100, new CSI, Bewitched, Melissa & Joey.

Feeling overwhelmed still, trying to juggle job searching and spending time with Dylan. And tired, though we are down to 2 wake ups at night minimum, it’s still exhausting.

Planning on doing something with the old blog, even though I say it all the time, I really REALLY need to get started on something.

Wondering how many times I need to say “NO! Don’t do that because…” to Dylan before he actually listens. His favourites are grabbing the bin and pulling it over to get at the rubbish inside, pulling DVDs off the shelves.

Disbelieving that he turns 1 in a mere 3 and a half weeks!

Waiting for autumn. The leaves have begun to change, and funnily enough this has only been my favourite season for the last couple of years 🙂

Wishing I could play my Sims game. So little time, and it doesn’t agree with the Mac very much, but so many memories dating back to my college days when I first started playing the original Sims. Not very interested in the Sims 4 at the moment.

Devising a plan of action for next week, when it comes to meal plans for the whole family, though myself and Dylan will eat together and daddy will have to reheat his food when he comes home after 7pm.

Trying to make our 1 bed flat work for the 3 of us, and keep Dylan safe. There is a gate at the top of the stairs (though we were told it wasn’t possible to have one) but we have to be super careful with it and we stuff a pillow down the gap and it works for us, we got a guard for the kitchen door as our doorways are narrow and couldn’t find anything that didn’t require drilling & fitting so had to get a guard instead, to be used when cooking so that Dylan can see me if he plays with some toys on the landing. The door remains closed, unless I’m going out there and let Dylan follow me and we also have some catches on the cupboard doors now, so thankfully no more pulling out his food out of the cupboard! The lounge is still a work in progress so his travel cot remains up so that I can put him in there if I need to do something where he can’t follow me.
