bad blogger

I’ve been terrible, I know. I took photos to share on the blog but never got round to it.  Currently I’m sat in the front room while Gaz is sleeping in the bedroom. I’ve been whispering on the phone to my mum as there is still no news on the baby yet.  My sister in law’s due date was Thursday, they took her in yesterday at 11am because of high blood pressure, and the poor thing is still going. They’re checking on her at 8.30am.  I still Tweet, so check the sidebar and follow me for the best chance of any latest news :)   I have unlimited texts on my phone so I tweet as and when which is a lot more often than my blogging! lol!  I’m currently wondering which will arrive first – my Studio Calico kit or the baby :)   My kit was shipped Wednesday last week and I generally get it about 7 days later, so I suppose at the moment it could be either!

Sims has sucked me right in, I’ve started my legacy family, which is another thing I’ve been meaning to share.  Jamie Hart is back :)   It’s funny to be “seeing” this character again after he was my starter sim for my legacy on Sims 2.  I will share more info. I will, but once the baby is born there will be lots of cooing and photos to keep my attention for a bit before I’m back.

And as for camping – the photos I wanted to share lol! Well, we will be going to my parents (that’s me and Gareth going)  as we’re putting the tent up in my brother’s garden while he’s not there. I have to be there at 10.30, but this proves an issue – as that’s when the post comes and I don’t want to miss it in case my kit arrives. Then, this afternoon is manic as I have to get into town after nan’s house pay a bill and other boring stuff and hope that I don’t miss anything baby-wise but after that everything is hunky dory.

I can’t wait to show off some newborn photos though ;)

Torrential rain!

I sort of wished we didn’t take the minor detour to the sorting office to go pick up my studio calico kit. There was a thunder storm which had just started, and once I got came out of the building with my box, it was pouring.  But once at Tesco it was hailing as well.  Gareth ran off , and I opened the door and it was like drowning – I opened my mouth to call to G but I was just gargling water. The rain was coming down so much, I was completely soaked through within seconds and I couldn’t move, I couldn’t see, the rain was just coming down so heavy and so fast!  I felt like I had just jumped into a pool I was so wet.  I just couldn’t wait to get home, and once I did I just had to take everything off and stick my dressing gown on.  It was horrible!

and I will leave you this gem from bed the other night:
G: Kirsty
K: I’m sleeping
G: but Kirsty…
K: I’m sleeping
G: But can you get me a drink?
K: *fake snoring*
G: That’s not funny.

Busy Day

I have pretty much spent my entire Sunday researching, doing web design stuff etc. I am pooped lol.  But I am shutting down shortly to watch CSI NY which I missed yesterday after me and Gareth had a Big Bang Theory marathon (we bought season one yesterday lol)

I haven’t had time to play with my latest Studio Calico kit yet either… and the new thickers are just calling my name…

American Crafts Thickers

and I got the coolest Starbucks mug yesterday too :) I saw it and thought it was so cute – just like their paper cups. So I had to get it for my hot chocolate.

Scrapping

I’m lucky that at work, they don’t want the chipboard they have and after I asked if I could have it, I get these awesome pieces of chipboard for books :)

Cloud Book

6x4 handmade album

Thanks to my mate Keili as well, I’m currently perusing Midnight Sun, Twilight from Edward’s perspective.

Lovin’

How wonderful! My studio calico kit arrived today. Me and G went and picked it up from Royal Mail on the way to do our shopping. I seriously love it!

I really love Two Peas too. They have a classroom up nd I hope to do a little bit of each class. Shimelle’s also doing a free class too, and not forgetting UKScrappers have their Whodunnit cybercrop in February. Go team FBI! (Would have preferred CSI, but hey, you get assigned teams so it’s tough)

I made a cute little book as well. I will show it off soon :)

Hospital appointment

Finally got in to see my consultant a bit later (an hr 45 mins after my original appointment) and what was rather interesting was looking at my CT Scan on the screen from when I was ill… Upon closer inspection when the consultant was talking me through it… I actually had DOUBLE pneumonia! There on the screen in front of us as my lungs inflated was a huge white cloud in my right lung. And there in my left lung was a small white cloud which wasn’t picked up on the X Ray but was clear enough on the CT Scan where the pneumonia had started on the other one.
Someone actually made an interesting point, that the pneumonia had taken hold of both lungs, had I have left it longer or I’d had been fobbed off as I had been that morning at the A & E… Would I have died? :dead:

Anywho, I got home to put in my sub for Studio Calico (which I drooled over at lunch time) and I was so gutted as the “Hobson Grove” add on kit I had my heart set on, had sold out. would have like the Ali Edwards stamps too, but that had already sold out when I looked at it anyway. At least I know next time – get up when the alarm goes off for work, check SC website for yummy add ons, and order if required. Still, Rach has put in for our free kits. I think we both deserve one :) and I looooooooooove American Crafts, so I at least have that to look forward to, even if I didn’t get the add on I wanted. I think it was the cute “home” stickers that did it for me… Will have to go in search for them.

And it’s snowing outside! LOL! I so hope it snows at Christmas.

I’m in love!

*strokes and drools over the Studio Calico kit in hands* I think Taniwha is insane lol, I am so in love with Studio Calico! It probably also looked like rather dodgy dealings in the Paperarts carpark as myself and the local scrapper exchanged money for a big brown paper bag lol. But I’m in love with everything – bit OTT with the flowers in the kit, but the stamps… OH the STAMPS! You must check out the website.

I did this with the kit for Cathy’s class:
Stewart - week 2, layout 1

and here’s one un-SC related:
Love Always - Week 1, Real World Colour

Seriously, if I didn’t have scrapping right now I’d be going insane from boredom. Well, scrapping and G to drive me around to random places so I’m not stuck in the flat lol. But I got back into Animal Crossing today – it’s the last day of the Acorn Festival and I had to pull tons of weeds out of the ground and kill the damn bugs in my little house, I haven’t played it in so long. I need to try and persuade my mum to get the game so I can visit her town and stuff lol.

Woo-hoo, meeting a scrapper!

A local scrapper, who as it appears I met some years ago but briefly as I was leaving the crop as she was coming lol, is wanting to sell her Studio Calico kit… Luckily for me I subscribed to the thread at UKS as I’ve been drooling over these kits for ages and I’m wanting to subscribe next year, and she mentioned that she didn’t like this months kit, so I was right in there lol. Even luckier she’s a Gloucestershire gal too and seeing as G said he would take me to Paperarts tomorrow, I’m meeting up with her there and I’m buying her kit from her cheap woo-hoo!

AWESOMENESS.

I’m lurking around at twopeas today (G is working late) as they’re doing classes and chats. I had to go to town so I jumped on the bus to go to the doctors this morning, and I said to the bus driver: “return from town please” and he suggested I get a day rider for £2.80 as it was £1.50 each way. Each way? But I was asking for a return, it made no sense, so i bought the day rider. Once I finished at the doctors and paid the bizarre 11p gas bill (why didn’t they carry it over to the next bill? Really?) I jumped back on the bus and as I had bought a day rider ticket I figured I was going to make use of it and my nan’s house is on the way home and she had got out of hospital herself on Wednesday, so I got off the bus and sat with her for about an hour, jumped back on the bus and went home.

But man, when I got home. My poor pain in my ribs… I had to lay down for ages until I was feeling a little better, and then had a nice hot shower and washed my hair (the shower is good for me because of the steam), and now I’m on the computer :)
